Oracle adquiere Oblix Inc. para seguridad integrada y gestión de identidad (inglés)
Earlier today, Oracle announced that it had completed the acquisition of Oblix, Inc., a leading developer of identity-based security for heterogeneous environments, to further strengthen our enterprise infrastructure software solutions. We would like to take this opportunity to welcome Oblix customers and to outline the benefits we expect to deliver to our combined customers as a result of this acquisition.
With this merger, Oracle plans to offer customers a complete solution for Enterprise Identity Management, including solutions to securely manage identities and authorization privileges, provision and manage users, federate identity to do business securely with business partners, and lower the cost of regulatory compliance. Oblix's technology leadership in enterprise identity management solutions and policy-based web service management complements Oracle's enterprise infrastructure software.
Customers of our combined security solutions can expect to see increased support and accelerated innovation. Existing customers will see continuity of service across both Oracle and Oblix products. We encourage you to continue to use your existing contacts for support, professional services, and sales to address any ongoing needs you may have.
Oracle also intends to scale the merged Oracle and Oblix security business rapidly. The Oblix products, including COREid, SHAREid, and COREsv, will continue to be available on a stand-alone basis. Oracle will also include the best features and capabilities of Oblix into its broader identity infrastructure offering. We are moving forward aggressively to integrate the Oblix product offering with our database, application server suite, and business applications to ensure that our customers can exploit the benefits of identity management and web services management with other Oracle products. On a combined basis, the acquisition of Oblix enables Oracle to accelerate its position as a leading identity management software vendor.
