CP Secure products chosen to protect Ouranos Networks Satellite Broadband and WLAN Services


CP Secure, Inc., the leading supplier of real-time gateway security solutions, today announced that Ouranos Networks has selected CP Secure’s Content Security Gateway to protect its satellite broadband customers against spam and malicious Internet content.

CSG appliances will be centrally deployed to protect Internet data streams inside Ouranos data centres, and will be used for both of its core businesses: business-use satellite broadband and local WLAN services.

CSG appliances from CP secure protect corporate networks and WLAN hotspots at the gateway by removing spam, spyware, viruses, backdoor programs and other malicious code. CSG uses a patent-pending stream-based scanning architecture that enables real-time scanning of Web and email traffic for a wide range of malware threats. The included anti-malware engine concurrently scans multiple streams of Internet traffic, simultaneously receiving, scanning, and outputting traffic to ensure optimum network throughput performance.

The CSG appliances protect networks of up to several thousand computers and scan Web traffic at a rate of over 70 MB per second and email traffic at a rate of 460,000 messages per hour.
